Note:Lived 147 yrs (ca 1886-1739 BC) Jacob was 91 and begat Joseph.
! It is his title of "Israel" that we get the word "Israelites" from.
! Jacob was also the King of Goshen.

Note:1st wife of Jacob, thru a trick played by her father Laban. who passed
her off as his daughter Rachel: being veiled, the mistake was not discorvered
till after the marriage had taken place ( Gen.29.) According to tradition the
eldest had to marry first. Rachel did become Jacob's 2nd wife and had 2 boys,
